  • Houston Alzheimers Walk 11/4/2023

    Attached is the link to register for the Azlheimers walk. We had so much fun last year, so I cannot wait to do so again! Information below will also be provided. I imagine that we would like to do the 0800-1200 slot again 🙂

    Second shift (0800-1200) starts when all the walkers start to arrive so there are some registration/T-shirt pickup help, etc., handing out waters, and tear down 🙂 There are so many things that need to be done!    

     

    All volunteers are required to complete walker registration at the link below. This registration MUST be completed before arriving for your volunteer shift. You will not be permitted to complete this registration within 24 hours of the event date.

    Shift 2  

    Arrival Time: 8 a.m.  

    Departure Time: 12 p.m.  

    Please have students indicate which shift they're interested in (if not both)!

    Dress Code: Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, appropriate length shorts or athletic wear, all clothing should be free from rips or tears. A volunteer T-shirt will be provided at Check-In.  

    Parking: There will be designated lots on campus for free parking and a paid parking garage. More details to come the week before the walk.

    October 8th, 2023 0800-1200- HFB Harvest Marathon Founders Day event with Zeta Pi! You must sign up through your HFB Account! Once you have done so, a confirmation and more information for the event will be emailed to the email that you signed up your HFB with
    November 11th, 2023- Alzheimer's Walk 2023. Sign up will be coming!
    April 6th, 2024- Houston Area STTI Chapters Research Event. I have been in contact with chapters and once I have more information, I will email it out!
    Information for donation drives will be posted soon as well as a date for membership meetings!

    Hello Psi Iota Sigma Members!
    There are open leadership positions this year: Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster, and Faculty Counselor.  
    If you are interested in serving, and would like more information, please contact the Nominations Chair, Deborah Klesel - kleseld@stthom.edu

    For the Psi Iota Chapter Board of Directors positions (see attached document for the requirements).
    • The call for nomination will be open until May19th, 2023.
    • The deadline to send out the slate of candidates is May 31st, 2023.
    • The announcement of the selected candidates will be sent out in the first week of June, 2023.
